What is it?

Across the globe, representatives of governments, employers, and workers navigate institutional arrangements and legal frameworks to create strong collective bargaining systems that expand peace and social justice.

Strong, independent, and capable social partners are the foundation of effective social dialogue. The Centre’s activities equip labour administrations and employers’ and workers’ organizations with the knowledge and skills required to participate in social dialogue.

Social dialogue is defined by the ILO as including all types of negotiation, consultation, and exchange of information between and among relevant representatives on issues related to economic and social policy.
