Aligning Skills with Demand: The Power of Market-Oriented Training
As a partner of the Digital Skills Campaign led by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), AmaliTech had committed to providing over 3,000 young people with digital skills training and creating at least 1,000 jobs in Ghana and Rwanda by 2025. It was in this context that AmaliTech, in partnership with ILO and ITU, conducted a knowledge-sharing webinar on “Aligning skills with demand: The power of market-oriented training.”
The webinar explored market-aligned training methodologies employed by AmaliTech in collaboration with sovanta. By focusing on exemplary practices, AmaliTech, sovanta, and UNICEF's GenU aimed to underscore the significant impact of such educational models on youth empowerment and industrial competency.
Objectives:
- Highlight the importance of market-driven skills training;
- Present approaches in inclusive skill development programmes that pave the way for market-aligned training and ensuing job prospects; and
- Offer a collaborative forum for dialogue with ILO and YouthForesight partners.
